Dame Rosalyn Higgins DBE QC

Dame Rosalyn Higgins DBE QC is a Master of the Bench of the Inner Temple. From 1995 to 2009, she was Judge of the International Court of Justice and President of that Court from 2006 to 2009. Prior to her election to the ICJ, she was Professor of International Law at the University of London from 1981-1995 and Member of the United Nations Human Rights Committee from 1985 to 1995. Her many books include Problems and Process: International Law and How We Use It (OUP 1994) and Themes and Theories: Selected Essays, Speeches and Writings in International Law (OUP 2009).
