Tom Syring

About/Bio

Tom Syring is Chairman of the Human Rights Research League. He has been a Lecturer at the University of Oslo, a Visiting Fulbright Scholar and Lecturer in International Law at Boston University, a Legal Adviser at the Norwegian Immigration Appeals Board, and a Visiting Scholar at the Norwegian Centre for Human Rights. His latest research looks into the connections between (lack of) constitutionalism and migration, with a particular focus on Sub-Saharan Africa. He is currently a member of the Coordinating Committee of the ESIL Interest Group on Migration and Refugee Law.
