Moritz Baumgärtel is Assistant Professor at Utrecht University Law School and University College Roosevelt. His research concerns the human rights of vulnerable migrants in Europe. As a senior researcher of the ‘Cities of Refuge’ project, he currently focuses on the international legal obligations and policy initiatives of municipalities in the reception and integration of refugees.
