Dr Michael Lane is Lecturer in Law at the University of Worcester. His research is foremost concerned with the UN human rights mechanisms, notably the UPR, and their relationship with domestic legal systems. He has published widely on the topic and has provided capacity building, training and advice to civil society organisations, politicians and legal professionals. His forthcoming book on the UPR will be published in 2026 with Bristol University Press.
