About/Bio

Dr Marieke de Hoon is Assistant Professor of International Law at Vrije Universiteit (Amsterdam) and Director of the Netherlands Office and Senior Counsel at the Public International Law & Policy Group. Dr. Kjersti Lohne is a Research Fellow at the Department of Criminology and Sociology of Law at the University of Oslo. Her doctoral thesis, Advocates of Humanity: Human Rights NGOs in International Criminal Justice, analyses the cultural meaning of global justice-making through international criminal law, and focuses specifically on the role that human rights NGOs play in the materialities and imaginaries of international criminal justice.
