Giorgio Sacerdoti is an emeritus professor at Bocconi University in Milan, Italy where he has taught international law since 1986, besides having been awarded a Jean Monnet Chair in European Law in 2004. He was a member of the WTO Appellate Body from 2001 to 2009 and its chairman in 2006-2007. He is a frequent investment arbitrator at ICSID and was a member of the first trade panel in a dispute under a FTA of the EU (EU-Ukraine in 2020).
