Francis Chávez Aco is a career diplomat and LLM candidate at Leiden University. She is a former Alternate Representative of Peru to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) and a former Focal Point of the Study Group on Governance of the International Criminal Court (ICC). Francis holds a Master's degree in Diplomacy and International Relations from Academia Diplomática del Perú “Javier Pérez de Cuéllar”, a Law Degree from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú and a Bachelor in Social Sciences from Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos.
