Frederick Cowell


Dr Frederick Cowell is Senior Lecturer in Law at the Faculty of Business and Law at Birkbeck College, University of London. His work focuses on international institutions and the application of international human rights law, as well as the theory of treaty law. He previously worked as a legal advisor for human rights NGOs and was the winner of the European Society of International Law book prize. His latest book, The Law Politics and Theory of Treaty Withdrawal was published by Hart Publishing in 2023.
