Claire Lougarre

Dr Claire Lougarre is a Lecturer in Law and the Director of the research centre Health Ethics and Law at University of Southampton, Southampton Law School. Her primary research expertise lies at the intersection of human rights law and health, with a particular interest in clarifying States’ obligations to realise the right to health. More broadly speaking, she specialises in European and international human rights law (economic, social and cultural rights and their protection in the UN and in the Council of Europe); and in public international law (the law of treaties).
