1. Proportionality of Criminal Penalties in EU Law Conference. On 11 – 12 May 2023, the Law Department of the University of Turin will host the international conference Proportionality of Criminal Penalties in EU Law. The event is jointly organised by the University of Turin (Prof. Stefano Montaldo), the University of Liverpool (Prof. Valsamis Mitsilegas) and the University of Milan Bicocca (Lorenzo Grossio). The conference gathers key experts for a discussion on the theorisation, application and place of the principle of proportionality of criminal penalties within the EU legal order, in light of recent developments in case-law and practice. 2. Call for UN Treaty Body Human Rights Case Law Reporters. Oxford University Press and the editors of the Oxford Reports on UN Human Rights Law have issued a Call for UN Treaty Body Human Rights Case Law Reporters.  The call can be found here . They are looking for human rights case law reporters to help maintain coverage of decisions by the United Nations Human Rights Treaty Bodies. The headnotes follow a set template and methodology, and are circa 1500 words in length. Reporters are paid £35 (or £70 worth of OUP books) for each accepted headnote for publication and are named in the headnote as the sole author. In addition, reporters are provided with free access to the Oxford Reports on International Law Database.
