Announcements: CfP Global Mobility Law; CfP Brazilian Journal of Criminal Procedure; 2024 Public International Law Lecture Series

1. Call for Papers: Global Mobility Law – Norms, Geographies and Theory. A call for papers for the upcoming conference: “Global Mobility Law: Norms, Geographies and Theory” at the University of Copenhagen from 5-6 September 2024 has been issued. Scholars are invited to tackle a range of substantive issues and reflect the theoretical and methodological breadth of mobility law at this inaugural international conference of MOBILE – the Danish National Research Foundation’s Center of Excellence on Global Mobility Law. 2. Call for Papers: Special Issue of Brazilian Journal of Criminal Procedure (RBDPP). RBDPP invites submissions in English, Spanish, Portuguese, or Italian for the Special Issue (Vol. 10/3), to be published in open access in October 2024. The issue focuses on ‘Digital evidence of core crimes and human rights abuses: new actors and new standards of investigation.’ Some topics that might fit in this call are operational and technical solutions for handling digital evidence, its reliability and admissibility, good practices and standards, case studies and methods of cooperation between state and non-state actors (NGOS and tech companies) and in general impact of the digitalization and democratization of evidence and investigation in criminal justice. 3. 2024 Public International Law Lecture Series: The International Law Commission – Progress and Process. The 2024 Opening Lecture of the Public International Law Lecture Series, and launch of new website by H.E. Mario Oyarzábal, Ambassador of the Argentine Republic to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Member of the United Nations International Law Commission, entitled ‘The International Law Commission: Progress and Process’ will be chaired by Dr Meagan Wong on 29 January 2024 at 6pm GMT. The Public International Law Lecture Series is co-founded by Dr Emily Jones and Dr Meagan Wong. See here for more information and to register.
