1. The University of Essex announces an opening for a Professor/Reader in Law (IHRL/ICL/IHL or related PIL). To be appointed to the Professorship an individual will have a clearly established international level reputation in the field of International Human Rights Law or a related field of Public International Law, such as International Criminal Law or International Humanitarian Law, and will be recognised as one of the leaders in their field. For the Readership the appointee will have an outstanding record of excellent research and be able to display clear potential to achieve a chair level appointment in a UK university.
