An Update on the Sadurski Saga

Written by

Readers might be interested in recent developments with regard to the legal proceedings brought against Prof Wojciech Sadurski in Poland, which form part of a transparent campaign at silencing dissenting voices in academia and elsewhere in Polish society, and on which Gráinne de Búrca and John Morijn wrote an excellent post on Verfassungsblog.  The short of it is that these speech-chilling trials will be taking place this month, under cover of Covid. For our previous coverage, see this extensive interview with Prof Sadurski conducted by Joseph Weiler, EJIL’s co-editor-in-chief, in December last year; for more background, see also this post by Sejal Parmar.
