Professor Weiler,
Have you seen this?

http://www.mfa.gov.il/MFA/Terrorism-+Obstacle+to+Peace/Terrorism+and+Islamic+Fundamentalism-/Operation_in_Gaza-Factual_and_Legal_Aspects.htm

Would it be a worthy subject for further analysis?

Thank you Prof Weiler for articulating something that I, as a lay person, have found deeply troubling. Even without legal training blind Freddy could see that legal terms and arguments are bandied about in the Israel-Arab conflict as instruments of propaganda. Where can one go, what books or websites, to find honest attempts at describing, explaining and analysing the law (or lack of it) pertaining to such matters as the disputed territories, the right of nation states to exist and the many other aspects of the Israel-Arab conflict? Where do international law end and politics begin? Or are they bound together like chewing gum in hair?
